Silvia Zaccaria (b. 1998, Italy) is a multimedia artist based in Amsterdam.

Her work starts from the gathering of objects as a way to find connection, moving from the personal to the collective. By reassembling these elements into installations and performances, she creates a space to listen how objects communicate, act, and form relationships within our shared reality.

The image is a high-resolution digital scan of the surface of a stone collected along the Dora River in Turin, Italy. Printed at a large scale, it amplifies the visual experience of the traces emerging from the rock. These figures are considered acheiropoietic images—forms not made by human hands. The research draws on the practice of reading stones as a form of divination. The images revealed on the rock’s surface guide the divinatory act, activating the imagination and perceptual sensitivity of the seer.

Through a public invitation, I hosted individual sessions within an intimate setting, inviting participants to donate a small item to an evolving library of objects. Each encounter began with a conversation where participants shared the memories and personal stories tied to their donated item. Afterward, they were invited to create their own tactile composition—a personal landscape—using the gathered objects from the library, translating a dream they had experienced the night before into a visual form.
