Hope 1-5

Year

2026

“Hope 1-5“ interrogates how desires, their aesthetic manifestation and their disappointment quietly shape society.

Hidden in plain sight or deep in our subconscious, longing distorts the way we are able to imagine the world tomorrow. Public discourse increasingly reveals how little weight rational argument holds against embodied ideals and instinct. Based on this observation, the work sets off to map how imagery functions as a medium of desires and the longing for salvation against the backdrop of contemporary visual over exposure.

How are we intoxicated by our own idealisations? And how can we, as societies, manage to negotiate them? “Hope 1-7” is an invitation to encounter those questions.
