Motel Apparel
Motel Appareil is an interactive installation that immerses viewers in shifting relational dynamics. Set within a fragmented motel room, it blends video game, performance, and the fictional archival display of a collection to confront authority, guilt, and the search for agency. The work questions what it means to be in relation with another—whether friend, lover, family member, enemy, or stranger—probing how power unfolds in the intimacy of everyday interactions. Through repeated memories, actions, and spoken words, the viewer is invited to navigate between control and the recovery of their own agency within those encounters. The music for Motel Appareil was produced by Js Donny.
